A note from the developer...
Friends of Old Trail -
I am pleased to announce that Nielsen Construction Company has been awarded the contract to build the first phase of our Old Trail Village Center. In the coming weeks you will see the Nielsen team mobilizing on site, preparing to begin vertical construction. I will keep you in the loop as we reach major milestones in the process and will soon be announcing tenants for the first building. Leasing activity has been strong, and as of this date we have all but 1,800 square feet under letter of intent. As soon we having binding leases for each tenant, we will begin marketing the space in the second building. If any of you have any ideas or leads on potential office or retail tenants, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Nielsen, which is based in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, is celebrating its 100th year in business this year. Founded by Danish immigrant Joseph Nielsen in 1908 in Round Hill, VA, Nielsen's success and longevity result from dedicated, hard-working employees with countless years of experience in the construction industry. From a small, one-man shop begun in 1908, Nielsen has grown into a well-respected company employing hundreds of local people, and building structures that improve and enhance peoples' lives in our community. Some of Nielsen's past and current clients include: Piedmont Virginia Community College, The Paramount Theater, Coors Shenandoah Brewery, Augusta Medical Center, Fauquier County Hospital, University of Virginia Aquatic and Fitness Center, multiple buildings and projects at James Madison University, UVA Neurodiagnostic/Neurology Clinic, Blue Ridge Community College Fine & Performing Arts Building, the Monticello High School Auditorium, and Culpeper Hospital to name a few.
We are all very excited to have such an experienced general contractor joining the team, and even more excited to see these beautiful buildings finally coming out of the ground.
Best wishes,
Gaylon
