Carriage Park Plans Released

To start, there are a total of 4 base interior plans, each with 3 different elevations.  I'll start with "The Ashley" model...base price starting at $549,000.

Upper Ballard Lot 34 (Hauser Homes) is under contract.

Beights Custom Homes on Ballard Field Lot 39 is also under contract.

New Urbanism Spotlighted on CBS Morning Show

The CBS Morning Show did a wonderful piece on new urbanism and its' rising popularity and success in America.  It focuses specifically on the Kentlands in Maryland.

If you haven't already seen it, I'd highly recommend that you take 7 minutes to watch it.  After living in Old Trail for only about 10 months, I would absolutely agree with the premise that new urbanist neighborhoods have more of a sense of community than typical subdivisions.

Seeing pieces like this make me more and more excited about the future of Old Trail...

HOA Meeting Update

Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting - I think it was very productive.  In case you missed it, here's the major points:

- The new Stop Signs will be removed immediately due to safety concerns.  However, keep your eyes out for police patrolling the roads in the near future.

- The Park in Ballard Field will have an irrigation system installed within the next few months

- The Tot Lot in Ballard Field will be installed in September

- The final layer of pavement on the roads in Ballard Field and on Old Trail Drive will be done within the next 30 days.

Community Pool Update

While details are still being finalized, it's pretty much set in stone that our first community pool will break ground this winter and will open in time for the Summer 2008 pool season.

While the pool has been in the works for a while, it's location has been up in the air.  It now appears it will be located next to the driving range by Old Trail Golf.  Along with the pool, there is a proposed play area, locker rooms, a snack bar, grandstands for the (future) swim team, and potentially a fitness center (that is still up in the air and will be decided upon in the near future).

As of right now, a preliminary site plan has been drawn and is under the review process.
