Crozet, VA Beights Corporation and CB Richard Ellis-Charlottesville are pleased to announce yet another business located in the new Old Trail Village Center in Crozet, Virginia. Seg-Ville, Inc., a venture of Albemarle County residents Don and Victoria Rich, will open in early January 2009 in the Old Trail Village Center. These unique, two-wheeled transportation units are powered by electric batteries. A Segway produces zero emissions and, when compared to the costs of automobile fuel versus that of electricity used to charge the battery, is eleven times more efficient than the average American car. (Source: www.segway.com, July 2008.)
Seg-Ville will offer several models, from the sleek, smooth-tire i2 model for zipping around neighborhoods or the Downtown Mall, to the more rugged x2 version with off-road wheels. A particularly desirable feature for the growing number of residents living in communities on or near golf courses, Seg-Ville will also offer an x2 turf model with a rack for a golf bag and special, low-pressure tires to smoothly traverse area greens.
Seg-Ville, Inc. is the fourth Segway dealership in the Commonwealth; others are located in Hampton Roads, Richmond, and Ashburn. Segway transportation units are easy to learn to drive; it takes the average new rider anywhere from 30 to 90 seconds to master the simple controls.

Beights Corporation proudly announces the addition of Trailside Coffee to the Village Center at Old Trail in Crozet, Virginia. Albemarle native and Crozet-area resident Marcia McGee, proprietor, will be serving fresh brewed coffee and espresso beverages to passersby and residents of Old Trail Village, beginning in January 2009 once construction is complete on the new Village Center.
“I am so excited about this opportunity,” stated McGee at the lease signing, “I have been working hard for months to ensure that I have what I need to do this right. Now we’re ready to go!” McGee began creating her new shop months ago, developing her logo, website, and planned list of offerings in anticipation of her lease-signing this past Friday. She also has secured custom roasting agreements with Williamsburg Coffee & Tea Co. and other boutique roasters. Of these relationships, McGee said, “I want to provide beans and espresso roasts that are special to our area. As the palate of my customers develops, I can change our custom roasts to best suit their tastes.”
Even though construction on the Old Trail Village Center is a full four weeks ahead of schedule, McGee doesn’t want to keep Crozet-area residents waiting any longer for their espresso fix. Opening in early August, possibly sooner, Trailside Coffee will be operating an espresso and coffee cart in the Old Trail Golf Clubhouse.

Crozet, VA Set to open in early 2009 in the Old Trail Village Center, Lucinda’s: A Full-Service Salon, brings luxurious yet affordable exquisite salon services to western Albemarle County. Created in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Old Trail Village is a thriving community of new homes and a unique town center supporting the residents with quality amenities.
Along with traditional hair styling for both men and women, Lucinda’s will offer a full range of services, including facial care, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and make-up consultation. Old Trail resident and Salon Owner Lucinda Riley, a former model and pro make-up artist is committed to featuring eco-friendly products low in ammonia and other irritants, and will be using formaldehyde-free nail polish which is safe enough for pregnant women and children. An expert in skin care and make-up, Lucinda will also offer a private label line of make-up.
Former Wilhelmina model Lucinda Riley gained valuable experience in both technique and salon management over her career as a make-up artist for Estée Lauder, Revlon, M.A.C., and Lancôme. A stint as Front Desk Manager for José Eber in Beverly Hills taught her the finer points of V.I.P. customer service. Her current success as a bridal hair and make-up stylist, combined with her passion for beauty, inspired her to open her first salon.
Old Trail Village Developer, Justin Beights, said of the new salon, “We at Beights Corporation are particularly thrilled with this new opportunity, as Lucinda embodies the core values of Old Trail Village. Not only will she bring necessary services to the Old Trail and Crozet-area residents, but the fact that Lucinda will live and work in the same community is our goal.”
